Multi-spindle screw machining and Swiss turning capabilities
Eredi Baitelli manufactures custom precision turned parts and screw-machined components in brass, stainless steel, and other metal alloys for medium- and high-volume production.
The company has operated automatic lathes since 1945 and today runs 59 multi-spindle and Swiss-type turning machines for screw machining, CNC turning, and complex machining operations.
Production capabilities
- 59 turning machines
- Up to 15 million parts per month
- Diameter range: .020″ to 1.97″ (0.5 to 50 mm)
- Maximum part length: 12.6″ (320 mm)
- Production rate: up to 2,200 parts per hour per machine
- Tolerances: as tight as ±.0004″ (±0.01 mm), with Cpk ≥ 1.33
Multi-spindle screw machining
The multi-spindle department is configured for repeatable and cost-effective production of medium- and high-volume screw-machined parts.
Six- and eight-spindle configurations perform several operations simultaneously, optimizing cycle times and reducing unit costs for high-volume production runs.
- 29 multi-spindle machines
- Six- and eight-spindle configurations
- Diameters up to 1.97″ (50 mm)
- Part lengths up to 3.94″ (100 mm)
Swiss CNC and sliding-headstock machining
The Swiss-type turning department includes CNC and cam-operated equipment for small-diameter and complex precision turned parts.
Turning, drilling, threading, and milling operations can be combined within the production cycle.
- 30 sliding-headstock machines
- CNC and cam-operated equipment
- Diameters up to 1.65″ (42 mm)
- Part lengths up to 12.6″ (320 mm)
Automated parts cleaning
The cleaning department operates three closed-loop ultrasonic systems that use modified alcohol to clean metal parts. The automated setup reduces manual intervention and supports faster inspection, packaging, and shipment.
- Closed-loop operation
- Ultrasonic cleaning
Machining operations
- Rough turning
- Facing
- Centering
- Grooving
- Thread chamfering
- Drilling, including through-hole and cross-hole drilling
- Reaming
- Internal and external threading
- Milling
- Polygon turning
- Knurling
- Pickoff, backworking, and cutoff operations
