In a precision turning shop, raw material is the first link in the value chain. For this reason, digitalization and factory logistics are not two parallel projects but a single line of work. The new automated vertical bar storage is now fully operational: rationalized space, real-time data on every incoming bar, traceability along the entire production path. A change that belongs less to the perimeter of logistics and more to that of process control.

Eredi Baitelli exhibits at MECSPE 2026, the 24th edition of the leading international trade fair for the manufacturing industry, at BolognaFiere from 4 to 6 March. At its stand, the company showcases its experience in contract manufacturing of precision turned parts with diameters from 0.5 to 40 mm, in brass, aluminium, bronze, free-cutting steel and stainless steel, for industries ranging from plumbing and heating systems to valves, fittings, gas, connectors and automotive.

"Semi di Futuro" is the programme through which Eredi Baitelli supports the education of its employees' children. The initiative includes a contribution of 250 euros for every child of school age and three scholarships worth 500 euros each, awarded on application and assessed by an internal and external panel. In a precision turning company founded in 1945, investing in people is not the exception: it is the normal way to build the future.

A custom-designed automatic vertical warehouse for brass bar storage is now operational at the Erbusco facility. Built by Ciampalini, the system features two towers with 19 drawers, 7 meters of usable length each and a total capacity of 76 metric tons. Integrated with the company's MES, it automates material picking, eliminates handling errors and traces every bar from storage to machine. For a turning company processing bars from 0.5 to 50 mm in diameter, the right material at the right time is the prerequisite for precision.
